Newborn Sessions

Please email me for pricing! After we book your session here is a little guideline to help prepare for the session! 

When to book-

Even though we may not know your exact date for when your little one will come, I encourage to book the session ahead of time! This gives me time to prepare for your session-if its a theme or color scheme- I like to hand pick a few new props for your babies session! 

When the baby is here-

Newborns much younger tend to do very well in the studio, so it is encouraged to do the session when the baby is 10 days or younger. It is much easier to pose them before 10 days but every baby is different!  I am very patient with newborns even if they are over 10 days old! 

Location-

Newborn sessions take place at my in home studio in Claymont, DE. It comes with all props, outfits, backdrops and my backyard has a  year long wall of beautiful vines for those family photos! Since babies are usually photographed naked, the studio will be pretty warm to ensure baby is warm and comfortable. Parent’s please make sure to wear comfortable loose clothing...you can change right before family photos if needed!  

Sleepy Baby!

Once you arrive feel free to feed your baby right away, the baby should be nice and sleepy for photos so trying to keep your newborn awake before the session with a nice bath may help! Do not worry if your baby is fussy, sometimes it can take a little to get your baby nice and sleepy, again binkys really help when I'm getting them in the right pose. Newborn sessions can last up to 2.5-3 hours, but please kick back and relax! I have toys in the studio for brother or sister to play with & drinks and snacks! 

In home session-

Please keep an open space near windows or sliding glass door for my setup!  I am a natural light photographer- so more light is a plus! I will bring 3 posed blankets and 3  floor backdrops 

An additional fee occurs when extra backdrops and props are requested.
